My name is Renée Silvestre. I’m a Filipino-American Therapist from San Diego, CA. I am BEYOND excited to meet you! Therapy with me will feel like having a co-pilot through some of life’s greatest challenges! I am known for asking the right questions, so you can navigate life with a new-found sense of perspective. I am here to guide you, support you, and challenge you.

My approach to therapy is based on each client’s needs but are formed with the foundation of holistic, humanistic, evidence-based approaches. Therapy can be as structured and as fluid as you and I feel it needs to be!

Apart from being a therapist and social worker, I enjoy music, all the arts (except dancing.. you wouldn’t want to see that), and spending time with my husband and doggy babies! I love learning about people and building life-long bonds/connections.

Short-Term Therapy

I offer therapy for individuals seeking short term (3-6 months) counseling. This is best for individuals experiencing a major life change such as a new job, developing a family, school stress, and other life events. Short-term therapy is geared towards creating coping skills to get you back to prior level of functioning, and a sense of homeostasis!

Long-Term Therapy

Long-term therapy is best for individuals who may need support for longer than 6 months. That may include individuals with chronic mental health diagnoses/concerns that require regular maintenance and check-ins.

“As Needed” Therapy

For individuals seeking flexible counseling and infrequent sessions, someone seeking “as needed” therapy may have low-stressor life events, and simply need a listening ear every now and then! Examples of PRN therapy are 1/month or even less frequent.

Therapy is a Choice

Engaging in therapy is difficult. It is challenging. It is vulnerable. Finding the right fit can take time. Please know that my first goal, is to make sure you feel this step into therapy with me is the right choice. If after your initial session, you don’t feel it would be a good fit, I am happy to provide referrals to a ton of amazing clinicians.
